Especially nice if you are in pre-season there. You will be asked for a donation of 1000 isk to enter the hideout, but it is worth it.

Kirkjufell Mountain

If you searched for pictures of Iceland on the internet, you have found this iconic location. This is one of the easiest accessible locations in Iceland. The access is 24/7 all year long. The only think to have in mind, is the small parking lot at the main road. There is only a 200m walk from the parking lot to the main location where you can get the waterfall and the mountain in your frame.

Eibsee – Hidden Rock

Eibsee is a lake at the foot of Germanys highest mountain Zugspitze in Bavaria, close to the border to Austria. It is a quiet famous location on Instagram, but still not so busy like Lago di Braies/Pragser Wildsee in Italy. Best time is definitely the morning, when the fog over the lake will be lightened by the first sunbeams.

Most famous is this hidden place with the rock upfront. The photo location is located at 47°27’35.7″N 10°58’34.3″E, but to reach this location you can either follow the coast line or enter a small foot path. You will find the foot path, when following the coast line for a few meters after you pasted the boat launch location. The path starts at 47°27’40.7″N 10°58’37.1″E.

Handara Iconic Gate

The Handara Iconic Gate is a very popular Instagram location. Either you come very early in the morning to take some shots, otherwise you will need some time and nerves. This location is so crowded, that you need to wait 1 hour to get a possibility for a picture without people. Before entering the gate, you will need to pay a fee of IDR 30,000 per person, when you are not located at the resort.

There is not much specials to consider, just enjoy this amazing location.

Etosha National Park

It is not possible to recommend the perfect location in such a huge National Park, because the animals are changing their walking routes daily, but I want to tell you at least my favourite spots where we spotted a pack of lions and several herds of elephants. Nevertheless, you can find many different spots always close to the water holes.

We spotted the pack of lions parallel to the east-west road between Okondeka and Adamax in the North of Okaukejo near 18°59’37.6″S 15°50’07.3″E in the early morning. After entering the park at sunrise, we moved directly to the north and had luck to spot the king of jungle/desert. When the road crossed the path of the lions, we could come so amazing close to these amazing animals. It was a moment, which we will not forget forever.

Burg Eltz

Best time for photographing Burg Eltz is early morning or late afternoon, otherwise it is massively crowded. I didn’t expect to find so many crowds there. I think only Angkor Wat and Taj Mahal were more crowded even at sunset.

To reach this location, you can park your car at the parking location on the top at 50°12’42.8″N 7°20’21.5″E. Now there are two ways to reach the castle. I really recommend to use the road at the south end of the parking space, where the shuttle is operating and not the foot path at the west of the parking space. Taking the road on the way down to the castle, you will find the first outlook at the small chapel at 50°12’26.8″N 7°20’12.3″E and the second one at 50°12’27.5″N 7°20’17.1″E.

Down at the castle you will find the most famous frontal view on the castle at 50°12’22.4″N 7°20’11.5″E and there are several possibilities for a beautiful sideview by taking the footpath on the right of the castle.

Pura Ulun Danu Bratan

Pura Bratan is a location which is hardly connected to luck for weather conditions. We had always either bad weather with deep fog or sunny without any clouds. Maybe just bad luck. Nevertheless, this is an amazing photography location for landscape, travel and Instagram photography. You can just enter the area before opening ours through the main entry.

If you want to rent a boat before opening hours, just ask some of the workers in the area, they can organize you a boat for small fee. Really friendly stuff.

This location is also great to meet other passionate photographers. I meet Stefan & Janina from thewolf0ftravel on their world travel. Thanks to Janina I could take some beautiful photos for Instagram, as replacement for Elise, who preferred to take a longer sleep. Love you anyway sweety 🙂

Ponte Umberto

We spend three sunsets at the bridge “Ponte Umberto” during our vacation in Rome between October 30th and November 03rd, 2017. For these shots I used a Canon EOS 5D Mark III and the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM and the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM lens. Each of three days was completely different. In my opinion the focal length around 70 mm worked quite well. These final pictures consist of an overlay of two shots made at different times. The first shot during golden hour and the second one at blue hour, when the beautiful lights came up.
The bridge is public and can be accessed 24/7.
